But I have been asked for a few recipes lately and thought I would share them with you tonight!
Chicken in a hut
this has been a favorite with most of my roommates and dinner guests...I sort of just tweek recipes to my taste and style...and that is how I created this!
2 cups chopped cooked chicken
optional: 1 cup cooked broccoli and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (this is a variation that is awesome)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 8oz package of cream cheese
2 packages crescent rolls
optional topping: 1 cup crushed croutons with 4 tbsp. melted butter
Mix chicken, soup, cream cheese and any other ingredients together in medium mixing bowl until combined. Flatten out 2 crescent rolls together so they form a square. Do the same with the rest of the crescent rolls, there should be 8 squares. Put about a 1/2 cup of mixture into the middle of each square. Fold up each corner to meet at the top. Pinch together. Sprinkle crumb mixture on top (optional). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes until golden brown. Makes 8 chicken huts! ENJOY!!
Corn Casserole (which I made tonight!!!)
1 can whole kernel yellow corn, undrained
1 can cream style yellow corn
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 can cream style yellow corn
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
2 eggs, beaten
1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
1 stick butter, melted
Mix all together and pour into large, lightly oiled casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. It is pretty easy! I add a little cheddar cheese to it, too...and some salt and pepper and it is perfect!!!

It is fun to experiment and try new things...made the corn casserole tonight, enjoyed some hot chocolate and my lovely Christmas tree, too! I love this time of year...even though it is really cold right now!!
Enjoy this joyous Christmas season with your families and try out some new recipes!!!

love having new recipes to try...and love your tree! can't wait till we can go later this week and get ours!
These look great! :-) Those Chicken in a Huts look like they'd be fun to make and freeze and pop in the microwave or oven when you're ready to eat. Like a hotpocket only WAY better! :) I'm stopping over from incourage, where I posted my cinnamon swirl bread and pumpkin bread. So glad I did! Adding this to my recipe file! :)
