Where is God? A book review

I review for Thomas Nelson's Book Sneeze...where they send me books for free and I review them!  It is a pretty sweet deal!  If you're a blogger and love to read, here's how you can be a book sneezer, too!

My review of Where is God? Finding His Presence, Purpose and Power in Difficult Times by Dr. John Townsend

I think many people struggle with the concept of God, especially in difficult circumstances. One of my friends said the other day, "There are two kinds of people in the world, those who seek fellowship and the Church during hard times, and others who run from the Church during difficult times". I think this book helps those who are having a hard time finding God. But, I think the ones that need to read it are the ones running from God and the Church in those difficult times. It makes me sad that this would happen, but it is mostly true. If you look at the church today, there are a number of people joining churches all over the world, but again, there is a great number of people who are leaving the church for one reason or another, too. What I do really like about this book is the declarations Dr. Townsend makes to his readers. He really declares things about God, and I like that. I like it when he says "He wants to be present with you and powerful for you in your circumstances. He may bring a miracle. He may create a new path. And He may walk with you through a loss. But however your hard time plays out, He is here. He is for you and with you, no matter your struggle." I believe that when we declare things over our lives like this, we are much more likely to believe them. If God is who He says He is in the Bible, then we can declare them over our lives. So, thank you, Dr. Townsend, for declaring who God is, even when times all around the world are difficult. God is still on His throne. He is victorious!!!

I also just got my newest book from them Your Money, God's Way by Annie Streater...review coming soon!!
